NFC Card is an all-in-one platform designed to help you connect with your audience and customers seamlessly. Our proactive approach ensures the protection of all our users, whether they have paid subscriptions, free accounts, or are simply interacting with links or QR codes created using NFC Card.
In our commitment to transparency and safety, we occasionally receive official requests for access to personal information stored in our systems. This Transparency Report outlines the number of such requests we received and responded to in 2023.
Types of Requests
These requests come from both domestic and foreign governments, including law enforcement agencies.
US Government Requests
In 2023, we received various legal requests from US entities, including court orders and government subpoenas:
Foreign Government Requests
Foreign requests are categorized into two types: direct requests from foreign entities and domesticated requests processed through a US court on behalf of a foreign entity.
Responses
We complied with all US requests and domesticated foreign requests as required by law. However, we did not respond to any non-domesticated foreign requests.
Addressing Abuse
The most common misuse of the NFC Card system involves shortening malicious links, primarily for phishing attacks, though some are used for malware and spam. Our Trust & Safety team combats this through a mix of internal technologies, third-party vendors specializing in abuse detection, and partnerships with trusted tech organizations and NGOs.
We uphold our values through clear and enforceable guidelines set out in our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and NFC Card Code of Conduct.
Summary
This report provides an overview of the legal requests from domestic and foreign governmental entities that we received in 2023, as well as our responses to those requests.
